Notice of Race

 

Organizer
Istanbul RC Cup is organized by the Istanbul Sailing Club, under the authority of the Turkish Sailing Federation.

Rules
The event will be governed by the ‘rules’ as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).

Eligibility
The regatta is open to International One Metre class boats with a valid measurement certificates by their national authorities.

Entries and Entry Fees
Entries are limited with 34 boats.

On line entry form is available on the event web page. Completed forms should be submitted not later than 08.09.2017

There is no entry fee.

Registration
Boats, together with valid measurement certificates shall be presented for registration and equipment inspection before 11:30 on 15.09.2017.  The Race Committee may extend the time for registration and inspection if there is a valid reason to do so.  No boat shall be eligible to race until it has been registered and has passed equipment inspection.

The Race committee may change last starting times except Sunday due to weather conditions.

Equipment Inspection
It is intended that all boats will pass equipment inspection on 15.09.2017.  Nonetheless, the Race Committee may at any time request the Equipment Inspector to confirm that a boat complies with the IOM Class Rules.  Random spot checks may be made throughout the event

Venue
Regatta will be sailed in Fenerbahce headland, Istanbul at the seafront of the Istanbul Sailing Club’s facility.

Scoring
Low point scoring system will apply, except in case of larger number of entries that require fleet to be divided in to heats. In such case Heat Management scoring system will apply.

Appeals
Right to appeal is denied in accordance with RRS 70.5(a).

Frequencies
Competitors who is using other than 2.4 Ghz frequency shall have at least two frequencies. If there will be a conflict, frequencies shall allocated on a first come basis. 

Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the best three competitors. 

Media Rights
Competitors give absolute right and permission to the Organizing Authority for any photography and video footage taken of persons and boats during the event, to be published and/or broadcast in any media, including but not limited to TV advertisements, whatsoever for either editorial or advertising purposes or to be used in press information. 

Disclaimer of Liability
All those entering or taking part in this event do so at their own risk and responsibility.  The organizer and any other parties involved in the organization of this event disclaim any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore and on the water as a consequence of entering or participating in the event covered by this Notice of Race.

At all times the responsibility for the safety of their boat and themselves including the decision to participate or continue shall rest with the competitor.  By entering the event it is deemed that you accept these conditions.  Competitors are advised to ensure that they have adequate personal insurance that provides cover for public liability and their possible injury in Turkey.

Accommodation
The club has 15 campus rooms for sportsman. Rooms are up to 4 person and includes a/c, toilet & shower.

Prices:

EUR 15/person (if room shared by four person)
EUR 20/person (if room shared by two person)
EUR 35/person (if room is in single use)

All above prices include open buffet breakfast.
